Chef Tanya Dubuclet who runs Neyow’s with her husband Tim, prepares dishes that are based on her grandmother’s recipes. As a young mother she started cooking meals out of her home to raise money for a family vacation. That successful venture led to a restaurant in the Gentilly neighborhood. After losing the business during Hurricane Katrina, Chef Tanya started over with Neyow’s in Mid-City, first on the corner of Jeff Davis and Bienville, and then in a new restaurant facility next door where a life-sized Bigfoot statue greets customers.
