New Orleans’ Central Business District is a regular lunch-stop for the Diva Dawg Food Truck. This on-the-go eatery featuring Creole-inspired hot dogs was founded by Ericka Lassair, aka Chef Diva, a New Orleans native who graduated from Southern University in Baton Rouge and Delgado’s Culinary Arts School. After closing a bricks and mortar location, Chef Diva entered an Urban League Women in Business Challenge with a food truck concept and won start-up money to launch Diva Dawg. She was selected as a Tory Burch Foundation 2016 Fellow and was featured in an article on New Girl Bosses in the January 2017 issue of Vogue magazine.
